Garden Grove Mortuary Needs Major Fire Damage Restoration

A lightning strike to a transformer ignited a fire that spread throughout this Garden Grove mortuary facility. The Before Photo shows a large amount of charring plus fire and smoke damage to the filing cabinets, which held important original copies and records for the business. SERVPRO has different methods for handling papers with smoke odors, including methods approved and used by The Library of Congress. The technicians collected the various documents from the cabinets and put them in a storage unit to hold them securely until they could be properly restored. The majority of the fire damage occurred to the filing cabinets’ exterior, and most of the important documents held within showed little to no heat damage.
